The day of returning BBs

I should say that this week's airsoft game was the day when the BBs were turning back. We were playing at Miami, the same place as last week. The wind was so strong that hitting anything with the BB fired from airsoft replica was almost impossible. The BBs' trajectories were unpredictable, at any point the BB could turn vertical or horizontal. Even very long bursts didn't give a chance to hit the enemy one was firing at.

I shot more than 1 000 BBs, but hit only few times. These hits were achieved by rather short bursts on short distances. There was no need for the large battery nor the second magazine, though they were very useful. It's very easy to refill the one hicap magazine when you're ready to fire BBs from the second mag. And I must say that after that 1 000 BBs I didn't notice any drop of rate of fire. :)

Our team consists of 15 members (including two girls), but it's very uncommon to see more than 3-4 Shamo airsofters. ;) The today's representation of Shamo ASG Team is present on the photo on top of the post. You can see Mamut with his CA870, Ziutek with his M15A2 carbine and Squarek and his MP5A2.

The proud, but not happy, owner of 3 AEG replicas...

Today I went to a bank to cash my cheque from AdSense. I took also money from my bank accounts. I went home and ordered the desired MP5K PDW replica by Tokyo Marui. I phoned the guys from the internet shop, I'll meet them tomorrow and get the gun.

Yesterday started an auction on which I want to sell my M15A2 Classic Army replica. I want to sell it and buy G36 (CA) instead. Or some sniper rifle, I didn't decide yet. I paid for the entire set (replica, mount, second magazine, scope) a bit less than 300$, I want to sell it for about 400$. That's the starting price I set. If noone will want to buy it, I will then put it on an auction starting from 370$, 350$ and so on... So it will probably take time to sell this gun.

And half an hour ago a friend of mine called me on instant messenger to announce me that his colleague will not buy my old MP5 SD3 (ICS) replika. The guy has my gun, has paid me 30$ (I wanted 250$ total) and now says that he doesn't want the gun. But he's so generous not to want the 30$ back.

So on saturday I will probably have three replicas. On saturday I'll meet with that friend, he'll give me back my MP5 SD3. He said that he'll think about buying that gun from me, I guess he feels a bit guilty because of all this. I hope that he'll decide to buy it. ;)

So I might say that I'm now an owner of three aisoft electric replicas. Proud, because I never thought that I'll be able to have more than one AEG and one gas pistol. Not happy, because I'd prefer to have money instead of the second MP5. And want to change that M15 for a G36.

Some cool airsoft stuff to buy

Yesterday I went through website of best polish airsoft replicas / stuff supplier. I was looking for parts that'd allow my M15 Classic Army replica to shoot silent, e.g. silencer, helical gears, engine with ball bearings, precise barrel and "quiet" piston / cylinder heads. The set I'd like to buy costs about 300$. I paid for my gun about 220$, so I believe I won't buy that set in near future.

Unless my AdSense revenue will grow faster than I am afraid it'll do.

You don't need to stand...

...to fire a replica. You can sit as well. :)

If it was saturday, we surely played airsoft

As usual, saturday is the day of our weekly airsoft games. This time we also visited Fort Chrzanów. The weather was very nice, warm 18°C (64°F), sun, light breeze (enough to cool you when it's necessary but not enough to change the BBs' trajectories).

I tested my new outfit, the parka in flectarn camouflage I bought about two weeks ago. This camouflage was developed by German army. Because Germany lies next to Poland and we have similar climates and vegetation, this camo does it's job nice in polish forests. I also have helmet covered with a cloth with the same camo and a piece of camouflaged in woodland net masking, which I use to cover my rifle.

On the right you can see how those three elements blend into surroundings. I am very satisfied with the results. We'll see how it works during summer or spring, when grass and leaves are green, not brown, yellow and red like now.

If you'd like to take a look at the photos one of us made today, I suggest going to my airsoft photo web server.

Me, my gun, my gear

Krzysztof Lis carrying ASG equipment

This is a photograph made yesterday at our ASG playsite. Of course I am the guy standing at the photo. You can see my equipment -- rifle, helmet (metal polish helmet mk 1950 painted black), BDU jacket, ripstop, olive (was olive, faded to lighter colour, you can see the difference on the left sleeve), M-65 olive trousers and a face mask. You can also see that I carry ALICE -- a belt, suspenders, two M16 magazine pouches and a canteen.

The photo was taken in some kind of abandoned factory, right now in that place there are many plants so it looks something like a jungle inside a large building. Very nice place to play ASG games.
