If you read this airsoft blog for some time, you probably know, that I was grumbling for last few days. I wanted to play airsoft games badly, but didn't have any games around to attend.
The worst was last evening. I didn't know if there was going to be any game with my friends from SHAMO today. I also found out that there was very large airsoft game in Nadarzyn. Over 300 people fought along with a good scenario. Players had to enlist to the game some time earlier, so I couldn't play with them. I felt very sad, to cheer up a bit I went to one of the cheapest online airsoft retailers. It's the cheapest one, because they're closing their store and are selling their stuff for lower price they paid to get it.
I will purchase:
- red dot sight,
- two RIS mount bases for this sight, one for AK-47 (to be mounted on gas tube) and the other for MP5K,
- proped mount rings for the sight,
- 6.04 mm precise barrel for AK-47,
- F330 power spring (theoretically can give 330 fps, I'll keep it for later use, if I plan to tune any of my replicas),
- laser dot sight,
- mid caps for AK-47 and MP5.
Nothing very sophisticated, total cost $245.
The todays game took place. I am not very pleased since at the beginning it was only 5 of us, with 3 AEGs, one pump-action shotgun and one pump-pistol. After one hour two other guys came (seemed like they were father and son, the latter aged 16-18) and we had a bit more fun.
Better this than nothing, so I stopped complaining and tried to get as much fun as possible. Here are some photos.
That's me, having fun. :)
That's Squarek.
That's Squarek. He had an opportunity to shoot my back, but instead came from behind and scored "silent kill". :)
That's Squarek, looking for enemy. At that moment he was using his pump-pistol. The other guy had M14 AEG with red dot sight.
He fires...
He scores!
Squarek and his victim.
In todays game appeared: me, Ania, Squarek, two MP5Ks (mine and Squareks, he sold his on internet auction but plans to post it tomorrow), AK-47 and some other stuff. :)
I got my AUG back. This leaves only one of my replicas in my parents' apartment - the mG36. AUG is broken, so I sent an email to my favorite airsoft reseller (not the one I bought the stuff from, they're more expensive and didn't have all the stuff I need) to ask if they can (are willing to) fix it. :)

Scoped MP5K
Here's a photo of Squarek's MP5K with scope and flashlight.
Of course he doesn't use this telescopic sight all the time, it was attached just to make a couple of photographs. Instead, he uses red dot sight.

Second Shamo ASG video advertisement
This video was made by Wotan (as usual) on january 9th 2005, in the middle of polish winter though you won't see a bit of snow here. This shows what we were equipped with at that moment. Indianin had G3 SAS, Squarek - MP5 A5, Mamut - MP5 A3, I had MP5 SD3, Majki carried SR16 previously owned by Wotan, Wrubel had some M15A4 carbine.
You can see me in the movie during two brief moments. The first time I am visible is after the smoke attack on the bridge, around 50th second of the movie, carrying the MP5 and with helmet on my head. The second time is when I fall towards the flaming smoke grenade (1:59).
Now two photographs taken at that day.
Poor copy of Charlie's Angels

This is a poor copy of Charlie's Angels, photo taken on october 24th 2004. You can see there Majki with his sawed-off AUG, Wrubel with borrowed Famas (the replica was and is owned by Kmicic) and Squarek with his MP5K. That was very nice game because I always liked playing with many people (many targets to shoot).

The early beginnings of Shamo Warsaw ASG Team

All of the people shown on the photograph back then had spring or gas powered replicas, now all of us (except Mamut, the guy in the helmet) have AEGs. Mamut had an electric MP5 for some short time but decided to sell it and get a Benelli M3 Super 90 by TM. He says he likes shotguns. But I guess there's something more behind that decision since Mamut is the only Shamo member who had given his replica a name (a woman's name that is ;) ).
At that point the team consisted of less then 10 people. Now there's 15 of us but at the airsoft games you won't see more than 5 of us. That's because people have other stuff to do.

The day of returning BBs
![]() |
From Airsoft from ... |
I should say that this week's airsoft game was the day when the BBs were turning back. We were playing at Miami, the same place as last week. The wind was so strong that hitting anything with the BB fired from airsoft replica was almost impossible. The BBs' trajectories were unpredictable, at any point the BB could turn vertical or horizontal. Even very long bursts didn't give a chance to hit the enemy one was firing at.
I shot more than 1 000 BBs, but hit only few times. These hits were achieved by rather short bursts on short distances. There was no need for the large battery nor the second magazine, though they were very useful. It's very easy to refill the one hicap magazine when you're ready to fire BBs from the second mag. And I must say that after that 1 000 BBs I didn't notice any drop of rate of fire. :)
Our team consists of 15 members (including two girls), but it's very uncommon to see more than 3-4 Shamo airsofters. ;) The today's representation of Shamo ASG Team is present on the photo on top of the post. You can see Mamut with his CA870, Ziutek with his M15A2 carbine and Squarek and his MP5A2.
