Why the Shamo logo looks like it does?

If you saw some of my airsoft photographs, perhaps you began to wonder why the Shamo logo looks the way it does. Before I start explaining, the photos of the logo and it's origin.

If you ever played the Fallout computer game, you must know what does the large gear with '13' inside mean. The rest, i.e. those "wings" were added because most of our first airsoft games took place in an old factory hall of Industrial Plants "Ursus". The right photo shows the logo of "Ursus" (ZM stands for Zakłady Mechaniczne -- Industrial Plants). Please keep in mind that this photograph was digitally enchanced. ;)

One of us created the logo by combining those two elements. We were very satisfied with the results, but now I'd prefer the logo to be green on black background -- it would not distort camouflage the way the red on black does. :)

Last week's photos

These photographs were taken last week during our airsoft game. Since I didn't have time for airsoft this weekend the only thing I can do is to watch these pics. :)

The guy in the flecktarn camo holding a pretty blond girl on the third photograph is me.

What will be my next replica?

Couple of days ago I went over the AEG 'aisle' in the SpecShop internet shop with ASG and survival stuff. I found there a G&G - GR16 R4 Carbine, very nice looking replica of something similar M15/M16/M4 series. It has foldable stock, 4 RIS rails, hicap clip, ready magazine system with metal box that looks like a hicap but holds a battery.

But then I went over other polish ASG internet shops along with WGC Shop in Hong Kong I found something much more interesting -- GR16 R5 v. 2005 (rifle?). It costs PLN 1799 (equivalence of something close to $580) at ASGShop.pl and $400 at WGC Shop. Seems like I'll try to order the replica from Hong Kong if I decide to buy it.

The early beginnings of Shamo Warsaw ASG Team

We started being a team about three years ago, we started shooting BBs somewhere near the summer of 2003. This photo was taken on the december 13th 2003. You can see there the "core" of Shamo. We came long way since that moment.
All of the people shown on the photograph back then had spring or gas powered replicas, now all of us (except Mamut, the guy in the helmet) have AEGs. Mamut had an electric MP5 for some short time but decided to sell it and get a Benelli M3 Super 90 by TM. He says he likes shotguns. But I guess there's something more behind that decision since Mamut is the only Shamo member who had given his replica a name (a woman's name that is ;) ).

At that point the team consisted of less then 10 people. Now there's 15 of us but at the airsoft games you won't see more than 5 of us. That's because people have other stuff to do.

What the f--k is that?

It is said to be built based on Maruzen CA870. I have no idea what is this thing -- looks like shotgun equipped with something weird. What is that, I have no idea. What is the purpose of this replica (of this modification), I also have no idea.

MP5K can be very portable

You can use it with only one hand, even with the left one.

What is that threaded barrel?

Today I found a "twisted" barrel with the precise diameter (6,04mm?) for airsoft replicas in the SpecShop -- my second favorite ASG and favorite military-survival retailer. I wonder how they work, i.e. what are they threaded for. I think that the rotation in the axis parallel to the trajectory will not affect the ability to hit with the BB. The BBs don't turn left nor right, unless there's a wind blowing.
