I believe that airsoft is better war simulation than paintball, though I never had a chance to play paintball. Airsoft is cheaper (BBs are 10 times cheaper) and the replicas look like real steel guns and rifles. Paintball replicas look like something between electric drill and vacuum cleaner.

I agree. Airsoft is a more tactical game, cheaper, realistic, replicas look great, you don't get dirty from the paint, it's not necessary to wear heavy head protection...
@McMaster: but it is sooo cooool to wear those heavy full-metal helmets during airsoft games, right? ;)
I used the polish military helmet for a long time, and found it especially useful when playing CQB in old buildings.
